We had a wobble but we didn’t fall apart this time

The difference?

🔸The team now works better as an actual team, if one person has an off day, the others can pick up the slack.

🔸 Last year we had few good players who stood out and carried the others, we relied on them and when their form dipped everything literally fell apart.

It’s no different for software delivery teams, if you have one or two people in your team carrying the others then eventually they will have a wobble, a holiday or even leave.

cue panic and potential for falling apart (or not).

✅ Take the opportunity to let others fill their space
✅ Hire to compliment the people you already have
✅ Balance the team for the future.

Just don’t panic, teams shouldn’t be reliant on one or two people.
